Hey everybody! Welcome to the December edition of the Gardeners' Digest. The Garderners' Digest is simply a monthly update from the Garden Girls, the design team at Two Peas In A Bucket. It's a place for us to share what we're currently working on, inspired by, using in our projects, etc. A little diary of sorts for you to keep up with all of us on our personal blogs as well as over at Two Peas In A Bucket.

I love the holidays and I love shaker cards. Put those two together and you get this card that I created for my latest Finally Friday video. Shaker cards may look at little intimidating, but honestly they are really easy to create. And so much fun to boot! Browsing the gallery at Two Peas is one of my favorite things to do when I'm looking for inspiration. I recently came across this layout by my friend Christa Paustenbaugh. We participate in the Elf on a Shelf tradition in our house (yes, I'm talking about you Sheldon) and I love to see other families' elves in action as well. Next I'd like to share a few recent purchases I've made from the shop at Two Peas. With Valentine's Day just around the corner I think you'll see a bit of a theme with my latest purchases. ;)

Devoted collection by Carta Bella (I LOVE the combination of blue and gray with pink and red for Valentine's Day and this collection puts those colors together perfectly)

Love Story collection by Echo Park (I simply could not resist the polaroid frames on this patterned paper)

Glitter Tape by American Crafts (I readily admit I'm not a big glitter person, but I couldn't resist purchasing a few of these to try out on some upcoming projects)

Kraft Doilies by Maya Road (I know I'm not the only one out there that equates doilies with Valentine's Day, right?)

Clear Stamps by Lawn Fawn (I just adore Lawn Fawn's whimsical stamp style especially sweet little bee in this set)

Garden Girl Lisa Truesdell has just launched a brand new mini workshop called Start Here. Here's a description of Lisa's new class ...

"Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." - Pablo Picasso

Get a jump on inspiration with Start Here. In this workshop, Lisa Truesdell will give you the tools to turn almost any image into a jumping off point for your next layout. You'll learn to break down images into smaller elements and use them to inspire your page's color combo, design, or even new techniques. We'll talk about finding images you love and identifying what grabbed you about them, and how to put that inspiration to work! Lisa is joined by twelve talented contributors who will each be sharing a page based on one of Lisa's inspiration pieces, as well as their thoughts on finding starting points in unexpected places.

Included in the workshop are 27 brand-new scrapbook pages (15 from Lisa and 12 from her contributors) showcasing a variety of interpretations of inspiration pieces, 3 printable PDFs and 3 brand new videos following Lisa as she makes a layout starting with an inspiration piece.
