Reminisce is currently holding a 2009 Design Team Search and Contest and I thought I'd give it a go. I actually just bought a bunch of the adorable new Frosty line from Reminisce when we were in Hershey Park, PA in August so I decided to put it to good use with a layout of the boys, a holiday garland, and a cute card set with holder. I REALLY enjoyed working with these papers and embellishments. The glittery papers and stickers are just so fun and festive and I was so happy to do some projects "off the page" so to speak since I am so used to doing layout after layout. Thanks for looking!

Happy Anniversary to ME!
Okay so I'm a day late on posting this but not in celebrating hee hee. Yesterday was my 8 year wedding anniversary! And although 8 years is a long time to be married I actually have been with my sweet hubby for 16 years. We are high school sweethearts - started dating when we were juniors in high school - and have been together ever since! There are just so many wonderful things I can say about my husband that I won't even attempt to list in a blog post, but I will say that he is the perfect man for me in every way and I love him more and more with each passing day. I'm really excited because I have a layout upcoming in the February 2009 issue of Scrapbook Trends magazine that commemorates our love and how we first met. It's so exciting to have a layout published but to have one published that celebrates my relationship with my husband is just that much more special to me! :)
Layouts to share!
Been a while since I posted so I've got quite a few layouts to share. All were done for Got Sketch 102 which is now in its fourth and final week. It's not too late to sign up though as the class content and site will remain open after the live class has ended. This class is all layouts so if you've got lots of photos to scrap register now! :)
I used the Scarlet Lime September mini kit for this layout. I love the fun and funky colors and patterns on these papers especially the new Sassafras Lass. And the colors coordinated perfectly with Brandon's clothing and tricycle.
A girly layout! Don't get to see many of these from me huh? This is my sweet little niece Una. I took these pictures of her while we were on our annual family vacation in Ocean City, NJ. I love the way they turned out and was so happy I got to use some flowers and bling on my pages (although I've been known to use both on my boy layouts as well LOL). I used a fun ribbon rippling technique on this page that Val shared in one of the classroom tips.
And last but not least. Another layout for Got Sketch 102 that I just completed today. This is actually taken for a two-page sketch that Janna provided today but I chose to use only one of the pages for this particular layout. I love that sequence of photos of Salar and Brandon. And yes even though I'm busy snapping away with my camera my breath still catches in my throat when he throws him up like that although I know he'll never drop him.
Phew! That was a lot of layouts! LOL I actually have been REALLY busy lately and scrapping quite a bit but most of it is for publication calls or other projects that I can't quite share yet. Soon though! ;)

Ack! A whole week since my last post!
Gosh things have been busy around here! I am trying to juggle a few different projects and my poor little blog got forgotten in the shuffle. Sorry folks!
So since it is nearly midnight and I need to wake up bright and early in about 6 hours I am just going to leave you a layout that I recently did for Got Sketch 102. :)
(punched those cute little clear stars from the packaging that some of my scrapbook goodies came in!)

It's the middle of the week and a layout!
Boy is this week flying by - I can't believe it's Wednesday already. Actually I started to type the title of this blog post as "Happy Monday" and then realized it was already Wednesday! Geesh! Where is the time flying to? Anyway, Darian started his other preschool program this morning the one where he rides on the school bus. He was all smiles and was excited to get back to school to see his friends. I took some photos (of course) but I'll have to post those later as I haven't had a chance to edit and for some reason quite a few of them were blurry. Must've had my camera on a wonky setting or something! Oh well!
Here's a quick layout I did for Got Sketch 102. The sketch for this was really fun although I changed mine up a bit. There's also a tip in there about how to do the circular text that you see around the "b" - it was really easy but something I'd never tried before. I used my Scarlet Lime August kit for this layout - so many fun patterns and bright colors that were just perfect for my little fish Brandon! :)

riding on the bus
Another layout I did for Got Sketch 102. I love these pictures of Darian from the first day of school last September. I still remember that first day he took the bus to school - I was so nervous about letting him go on the bus without me but he absolutely loved it! The papers are from Autumn Leaves - a pad I picked up randomly in Target not too long ago. Pre-school starts September 10th this year so I'm sure I'll have a whole other set of bus photos to scrap very soon! :)

I thought I'd share a layout I completed for Got Sketch 102. If you haven't signed up for the class yet you really should - it's all layouts this time around and so inspiring already and we are just getting started! Click here to get more information on how to register.
Since summer is coming to an end I figured I might as well scrap some vacation pics while I still had the opportunity. I really love these pictures of Darian from our Ocean City vacation this year. The colors of his swim gear just screamed summer to me and I happened to have some of the Zach's Life line by Little Yellow Bicycle handy and it coordinated perfectly. Thanks for looking!

got sketch Monday!
It's Monday and you know what that means ... another fabulous sketch on Valerie Salmon's got sketch? blog. This week has a bit of twist as the sketch is provided by none other than Janna Wilson! Love this gal! This is the first time Val has had a guest sketch artist and I was so happy to be able to contribute again. Here's the layout I did based on Janna's sketch. Be sure to check out the got sketch? blog to see the other contributors' layouts - they all look wonderful!
