Hey everyone! I just realized that I did not share one of my Pink Paislee layouts from last week so I thought I'd post it today. I used the Old School collection for this layout. I wanted to show the versatility of the papers and embellishments and that they are not just for school themed projects. I just love these pictures of Darian and Brandon together. They are only 19 months apart and have such a special relationship. Brandon simply ADORES Darian and pretty much will do whatever he says (even if it means he'll get in trouble! LOL) and while Darian does tend to tire of his little brother a bit more frequently he doesn't like to be apart from him for very long.
And here are a few detail images ...
This layout will be on display in the Pink Paislee booth at CHA in Chicago that starts today! I SO wish I could be there - I had the most amazing time at CHA this past January but I just could not swing the time away in between vacations, etc. If you happen to be in attendance and are reading this I would love to see how my projects are displayed in the Pink Paislee booth, and would so appreciate if you would snap a couple of pics for me. Pretty please! ;)

My layout is featured on the Pink Paislee blog today so I'm sharing it here as well.

Kickin' It Old School
Hey everyone! I arrived back from vacation this weekend to a big ol' box of brand new Pink Paislee goodies due to be released in just a few weeks at Summer CHA. Pink Paislee is releasing images of each of their new collections every day this week and today's release - Old School - just happens to be my fave from the bunch. I absolutely LOVE the vintage office appeal of these papers and the color scheme is right up my alley. They have my layout posted on the Pink Paislee blog today so I'm guessing that it is okay for me to post it here as well.
And here are a few detail images ...
Pink Paislee came out with some new additions to their product line with this collection including canvas borders, metal badges, and felt doodads which you can see in some of my detail images above. Frugal Fab!
Have you guys heard about the new Frugal Fab kits from Scarlet Lime? These kits are full of all sorts of fabulous goodies but at a steal of a deal (they are only $19.95 with a subscription). Some of the items included in the kit are brand spankin' new and some are a bit older but ALL of them are fabulous and coordinate perfectly. I've said it before and I'll say it again - I LOVED this month's Frugal Fab kit, moreso than the main kit. It included some brand new Pebbles and October Afternoon papers, both of which happen to be among my favorite manufacturers, along with items from Cosmo Cricket, Crate Paper, Glitz Designs and more!
This first layout features mostly papers from Pebbles new Tree House collection. I am such a sucker for bright colors paired with white cardstock - it really makes everything just POP from the page.
The boys are enrolled in a summer reading program at our local library and they were just so excited to go to the library and pick out some books. I love the blackboard pieces by Cosmo Cricket that were included in the kit and love the way they pop off of the white cardstock background.
This next layout features an oldie but goodie photo of Darian. He was only 1 1/2 years old here - hard to believe he is now on the verge of turning 6! I didn't scrapbook while the boys were younger so I have lots of older photos to catch up on and this was the perfect opportunity. I thought the colors of Darian's sippy cup coordinated perfectly with the October Afternoon paper in the kit. And of course there is my beloved white cardstock splattered with a bit of Maya Mist in Turquoise for some visual interest.
I used lots of my favorite techniques on this layout - a bit of mist, tags, stitched hearts, buttons and ribbon. This was just one of those fun and happy pages to put together and I really like the way it turned out.
Just wanted to throw a reminder out there about the Pebbles Design Team call for applications. I LOVE working for this company and if you've ever considered giving a design team a chance now is your opportunity. You can find out all of the details here.

Scarlet Lime July Reveal
Hey everyone! The July gallery is live over at Scarlet Lime and it's a pretty one thanks to the gorgeous July kit aptly named "Wildflowers." The color combination in this month's kit was just so pretty and I got to work with PINK which I don't do very often in my house of boys!
I created two layouts with the main kit - the first is all about ... ME! LOL! I don't scrap about myself often but since the colors in the kit went so well with this photo of myself I took the opportunity to get a few things down on paper.
I'm a big fan of using my Copic markers to alter the color of my letter stickers to suit my needs and that's exactly what I did here with the fabric Thickers from American Crafts.
I also played around a bit with my journaling strips leaving enough room to highlight certain words with the tiny letter stickers from Cosmo Cricket.
For my second layout I focused on some photos I took of Darian the day we released our Painted Lady Butterflies. Just a side note - if you have young school aged children at home and are looking for a fun and easy at home "science" project to do with them I absolutely suggest purchasing a butterfly garden. We received little jars of tiny caterpillars and watched them grow over a few weeks until they finally formed their chrysallis and then emerged as beautiful butterflies. The boys just loved releasing them and learned a lot through the whole process.
And here are a few detail images of this layout ...
That's it for me today. I have two more layouts to share that I created with the Frugal Fab kit this month. I have to say I think I preferred that kit even more than the main because the colors and papers were definitely more my style. Be sure to stop by tomorrow when to see what I created!
