Two Peas In A Bucket - Gardeners' Digest
Hey everybody! Welcome to the April edition of the Gardeners' Digest. The Garderners' Digest is simply a monthly update from the Garden Girls, the design team at Two Peas In A Bucket. It's a place for us to share what we're currently working on, inspired by, using in our projects, etc. A little diary of sorts for you to keep up with all of us on our personal blogs as well as over at Two Peas In A Bucket.
First, I want to share with you a little sneak peek of one of my Garden projects for the month of April. Our monthly theme in the garden is Easter so I created this layout using some photos from our family Easter egg hunt. I used lots of Bella Blvd goodies on this layout including their brand new designer tapes and flags.
Browsing the gallery at Two Peas is one of my favorite things to do when I'm looking for inspiration. This card by Susan Weinroth caught my eye recently. I adore the colors and the simple sophistication of the design. There are so many tiny details rolled up into one fabulous project. Thanks for the inspiration Susan!
Next I'd like to share a few recent purchases I've made from the shop at Two Peas. With all of the new releases from CHA Winter the Two Peas shop has been hopping with new products arriving weekly. And so has my wallet! LOL! So here are my five most recent purchases ...
- PB&J Collection (LOVE the bright colors and fun patterns in this collection. A favorite for sure!)
- What's Up Collection (Another amazing collection from Basic Grey. I am just loving the hot air balloon motifs and funky color scheme)
- Mister Huey's Spray Mists (With a whole new batch of colors in the shop it's hard to choose just one - this light kraft color has made it's way to my Mister Huey collection recently)
- Chevron Backdrops Clear Stamp Set (I still can't get enough of the chevron craze and recently added these little cuties to my stamp collection so that I can create my own chevron patterns any time I like!)
- Hello Routine April Studio AE Clear Stamp Set (Always a sucker for Ali's stamps, I love that these are different than the usual Studio AE stamps in that they have a more solid design!)
Garden Girl Shannon Tidwell just launched a brand new workshop called Sassy Scrapping with Shannon Tidwell. Here's a description of Shannon's new class ...
Are you looking to add something extra to your pages? More color, more punch, more pizazz? Are you ready for a fresh and energizing approach? Then come scrap with me, Garden Girl Shannon Tidwell. I love making big and bold pages that are full of life, but not full of time. (someone has to do the laundry!) I’m going to give you tips, tricks, and ideas so that you can make pages that pop no matter your style. Together we’ll cover five chapters, with over 50 layouts, including two themed albums!
You’ll get ideas from the beginning stages of finding and using inspiration, building bold pages, making the most of collection kits, and then finish it off with a ‘through the years’ album as well as a ‘school year’ album.
This is a self paced workshop that you can use any time. The workshop comes complete with easy to follow PDF’s as well as a coordinating video for each of the 5 chapters. Not to mention we’ll be able to chat it up on a private message board.
So let’s add a bit of sass to our scrapbooks together!
The content of this workshop will be available immediately upon purchase. The lessons are available for you to work at your own pace and upon purchase can be accessed in the "Workshops" section under "Classes & Events." A private message board forum is also available to ask questions for Shannon and to connect with other participants. Enjoy!

Two Peas In A Bucket - Finally Friday Video
Hey everybody! We traveled to Washington DC last week for spring break and in addition to the piles of laundry still haunting me I have a bunch of projects that need to be shared here on my blog as well. I love vacation, but please tell me I'm not the only one who feels like they need a vacation AFTER their vacation! LOL! In any case, I had another Finally Friday video go live over at Two Peas In A Bucket while I was away that I can't wait to share with you.
For this card I used the brand new Boys Only collection from Doodlebug Designs. If you are a mama of boys you NEED this collection. It is so boyishly adorable! Lots of great boy colors and patterns, and the graphics in the collection are just adorable. My favorite is the little skater dude tag I used on my card. Hee! I also used the new Alphabean stickers from Jillibean Soup for my sentiment. I LOVE these stickers (I bought them in every color!) and I've used them lots and lots already. They are the perfect size for both cards and longer titles on scrapbook layouts. Here's a detail image of the card I created ...

Two Peas In A Bucket - Giddy Up Cowboy
Hey everybody! Just wanted to share a new layout that went up in the Garden over at Two Peas In A Bucket today.
This layout is copyright Two Peas in a Bucket
I was thrilled when the Sasparilla collection from October Afternoon finally made its way to the shop at Two Peas. I have been waiting for that collection specifically so I could scrap these photos of my oldest son Darian riding a pony (whose name was Fudge) at the local farm last fall. This collection has such great deeply saturated colors in it that I just love!
I kept my design pretty basic with a focal photo and two supporting photos. I layered several die cuts from the Miscellany package opposite of my focal photo and used both letter stickers from this collection and my a die cut "cowboy" using my Silhouette for my title. After I die cut the "cowboy" from kraft cardstock I spritzed it with a bit of Mister Huey to give it a more distressed feel.
Adding embellishments to this layout was so easy since there were so many adorable ones to choose from. I think the hardest part was deciding what NOT to use. The cowboy tin pin had me at hello and I just couldn't resist adding it to the strip of tickets from the Miscellany package along with some baker's twine.
