PageMaps Video Series: Part 4 of 4

Hey everybody!  I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend.  This month my fabulous friend Becky Fleck is celebrating the 6th anniversary of her website PageMaps.  For those of you unfamiliar with PageMaps it is a free resource of scrapbook and card sketches created by Becky.  Becky is doing her 6th anniversary up big time with a month long celebration featuring some fantastic giveaways and prizes.  You can read all of the details here.

As part of the celebration I created a four part video series highlighting the new Spellbinders series of dies specifically created for PageMaps.  Each Monday in the month of May I will be sharing a new installment of the video as we work on creating a layout featuring these fabulous dies.  You can view the first video in the series in this blog post and the second video in there series in this blog post.  I missed posting the third video on my blog (busy week!) but you can view it on YouTube here.  And here is the final video below ...

I really hope you enjoyed the video!  And be sure to stop by Becky's blog this week for a new giveaway.  Thanks for stopping by!

Two Peas In A Bucket - Gardeners' Digest

Hey everybody!  Welcome to the May edition of the Gardeners' Digest.  The Garderners' Digest is simply a monthly update from the Garden Girls, the design team at Two Peas In A Bucket.  It's a place for us to share what we're currently working on, inspired by, using in our projects, etc.  A little diary of sorts for you to keep up with all of us on our personal blogs as well as over at Two Peas In A Bucket.

So I have to admit that I don't actually have any new projects in the works at this moment.  But I did just recently share a new project that went up in the Garden yesterday.  You can see my travel themed layout right here on my blog or here in the Garden.  Here's a peek at my layout ...

Browsing the gallery at Two Peas is one of my favorite things to do when I'm looking for inspiration.  I fell in love with this layout by fellow Garden Girl Wendy Sue Anderson.  I love how Wendy arranged her stunning photos in a grid design and the embellishments and extra touches are just fantastic!

Next I'd like to share a few recent purchases I've made from the shop at Two Peas.  Lots of new products have arrived recently.  Here are five of my most recent purchases ...
  •  9 to 5 Collection (I've been waiting for this collection to hit the shop and I think I loaded up my cart and hit submit in less than 2 minutes!  LOL)

  • Summer Fresh Collection (This collection has everything I love about summer all wrapped up in one pretty package - I cannot wait to use these goodies!)

  • Sweet Day Collection (I love this new collection by Echo Park.  My favorite paper has to be this hexagon print - just fabulous!)

  • Mistable Stickers (There are several mistable Thicker Stickers available from Studio Calico that are exclusive to Two Peas.  These weather icons are my favorites!)

Garden Girl Amy Heller just launched a brand new workshop called Through the Kaleidoscope with: Making Sense of Color 4 Scrapbooking. I was lucky enough to contribute a layout to this workshop along with several other fabulous guest designers.

Here's a description of Amy's new class ...

Do you wish you could add more color to your scrapbooking projects? Have you ever wondered how to mix manufacturers' products and collections with ease? And lets talk about all those products you've been hoarding in your stash, ever wish you could learn to use more of those in your projects? Join Garden Girl Amy Heller as she teaches a color theory based workshop, 'Through the Kaleidoscope | Making Sense of Color 4 Scrapbooking' based on the principles of the color wheel.

As a graphic designer and former creative and art director by trade, Amy's experience in color has spanned not only from the crafting world, but over 10 years professional experience in the design of advertising, brand development and packaging. Over five chapters, she'll share 50 brand new scrapbook pages by her and her group of contributors. Each chapter contains a printable PDF containing beautiful color inspiration boards from daily life as well as from scrapbooking supplies for each of the principles and colors covered, as well as a coordinating video. Included is a handy, portable flip card set with each of the color theories covered as well as the full color wheel for taking to your next crop or simply having in your craft area for easy and convenient color reference.

Two Peas In A Bucket - Washington DC

Hey everybody!  Just wanted to share a new layout that went up in the Garden over at Two Peas In A Bucket today.  The theme in the garden this month is travel and it couldn't have come at a better time. My family and I just traveled to Washington, DC a few weeks ago for spring break, and I was excited to create a layout about our trip while all of the memories were still fresh in my mind.

This layout is copyright Two Peas in a Bucket

For this layout I used lots of goodies from the Studio Calico Abroad collection. I also used an actual map of Washington DC that I cut down to size as the main paper of my layout. We used this map daily to navigate the different monuments and attracts so I loved the idea of including it on my actual layout. I used brads and twine to pinpoint several of the places we visited. The polaroid frames were cut from one of the Studio Calico papers and I adhered a small photo to each. Finally, I included a tag in a mini envelope behind each picture. I printed some fun facts we discovered about each location on the tags.
