Two Peas In A Bucket - Gardeners' Digest

Hey everybody!  Welcome to the February edition of the Gardeners' Digest.  The Garderners' Digest is simply a monthly update from the Garden Girls, the design team at Two Peas In A Bucket.  It's a place for us to share what we're currently working on, inspired by, using in our projects, etc.  A little diary of sorts for you to keep up with all of us on our personal blogs as well as over at Two Peas In A Bucket.

First, I want to share with you a little peek of a project in the Garden very soon.  Our next monthly theme in the garden is "Shapes" so I created a layout about my youngest and his love for asking Siri (you know the lady behind the iPod LOL) all sorts of questions.  I focused on speech bubbles as my shape.  Here's a peek at my layout ...

Browsing the gallery at Two Peas is one of my favorite things to do when I'm looking for inspiration. I especially love this recent layout by fellow Garden Girl Lisa Dickinson using the beautiful True Love collection by Basic Grey.

Next, I'd like to share a few recent purchases I've made from the shop at Two Peas.  There's been lots of new products arriving to the shop at Two Peas and I just couldn't resist buying some new goodies.  So here are some of my most recent purchases ...

Garden Girl Wilna Furstenberg has just launched a brand new workshop called Art Class with Wilna.  Here's a description of Wilna's new class ...
Join Garden Girl Wilna Furstenberg on an exciting journey in art making! If you are looking to learn simple techniques that will fill you with wonder and bring the fun back into scrapbooking, then this workshop is for you!

The 10 chapters encourage you to play with stencils, Modge Podge, stitching, wax, fabric, found items, washi tape, glitter, pens, paint, masking fluid and molding paste. You'll learn to work with these mediums as design elements, with 50 creative pages from Wilna and her contributors to reference and spark creativity. The TEN videos and 45-page PDF explain and demonstrate Wilna's creative process and will no longer have you guessing, "How did she do that?" Silhouette users will enjoy the extra cut files Wilna has used in her pages and shared. A must-have workshop for any fan of Wilna Furstenberg's delightful and inspiring work.

To sign up for what is sure to be an inspiring class just click here!

And now for the GIVEAWAY! To be entered into a giveaway to win a spot in Wilna's class simply leave a comment on this blog post.  Be sure to include your Two Peas username so I know how to contact you if you've won!  If you're the lucky winner and you've already purchased the class - no problem!  You will be given the option to either be refunded your money or pass the free spot along to a friend!  This giveaway will be open until Thursday 2/28 at midnight EST.  I will post the winner on Friday 3/1 right here on my blog.  One entry per person please.  Good luck!

Thanks so much for stopping by today - I hope you had fun seeing a little peek into what's been happening here in my scrap studio.  Next you'll want to stop by Jen Gallacher's blog and see what she's been up to!

PageMaps - February Layout

Happy Saturday!  Yesterday was the first of the month and that means a brand new set of PageMaps sketches by Becky Fleck along with it.  I am so thrilled to be on the design team for PageMaps and had a really fun sketch to work with this month that features the new You Are Here dies created by Becky for Spellbinders.

Here's a look at the sketch that I was given and the layout that I created.

I loved the long vertical row of arrows along the left side of the page and recreated that look with a combination of arrows from the You Are Here die set and speech bubbles from the Say What die set.  I also added in some vellum printed arrow die cuts from Twine + Ink (exclusive to Two Peas In A Bucket).  I also added in a bit of tied twine and enamel dots from My Minds Eye for more details.

To add another fun detail to my layout I replaced the "o" in "cousins" with one of the die cut arrows.  I placed the title on an envelope that houses a journaling card where I documented memories of this photo of my boys and their cousins during our annual family vacation this past summer.  To balance the red of my title below my photo I added a die cut tab (from the Address Book die set) in the same red polka dot paper along with another vellum die cut and red enamel dots above my photo.

Be sure to visit Becky's website to view all of this month's sketches and examples by the fabulous PageMaps design team and guest designers.

Goodies For Sale

Anyone interested in a goodie box of scrapbook supplies? I’m cleaning out the scrap studio to make some room. Most of it is unused (there may be a few stickers missing here and there). Cost is $50 which includes USPS Flat Rate shipping. The boxes are all random, but I’ve got lots of great companies that may be in there including American Crafts, Basic Grey, Crate Paper, Echo Park, My Mind’s Eye, October Afternoon, Pebbles, Studio Calico, Doodlebug Design, etc just to name a few.  Please note that not every company will be represented in every box, but just to give you an idea of what product I have.  Nothing really old either – most product is from the last 1-2 years.  Embellishments will be included as well - chipboard, stickers, buttons, jewels, etc.

I am willing to ship internationally as long as you are willing to pay actual shipping costs.  In those cases the boxes will cost $38 PLUS actual shipping charges.  You can email me with your address and I will give you an approximate idea of shipping if you'd like (be mindful that these boxes are heavy and that shipping cost will reflect that).

I have SEVERAL boxes to sell so if you would like more than one just let me know.  Also let me know which companies you are most interested in, if you scrap mostly boys, girls, or both.  I can't guarantee everything on your wish list will be in there, but goodness knows I'll try to include as much as I can!  ;)

If you’re interested just send me an email at lghahary(at)cevant(dot)com.  Thanks!  :)
