roly poly santa baby!

How's that for a catchy title?  hee hee!  I wanted to share this layout I created recently of my little Baby Santa using the fabulous Joyride Collection from Collage Press.

That's my big boy Darian when he was just 4 months old!  Tell me he doesn't look like Baby Santa to you.  And if you could see his belly rolls in the photo I'd have you convinced without a doubt.

So how you like to win the Joyride Collection?  Well get this - the fabulous people at Collage Press are giving away not one but TWO paper packs of the COMPLETE JOYRIDE COLLECTION!  One for you ... one for a friend!  Or two for you it doesn't really matter hee hee!

Just leave a comment on the latest post on the BLOG to have a chance to give AND receive this awesome line!

The most wonderful time of the year ...

Hi all!  Just wanted to share another card I created using some more goodies from Zva Creative along with the new Very Merry Collection from October Afternoon

I am really loving this collection right now - the colors, the patterns, the sweet little gingerbread men - just so cute!

That's all I have to share today.  I actually haven't had a ton of time to do crafty stuff lately.  With the holidays approaching I am just so focused on getting everything done - which is definitely not a bad thing - that I haven't really been in the mood.  I do have a few more projects to share though so be sure to check back soon! :)

And the WINNERS are ...

Our Zva winners have been chosen and their names will be announced sometime today on the following blogs:

Teri
Hilde
Lynn M.
Lynn G. - that's right here!
Anabelle

We had a ball and we hope that you did as well.  I want to thank everyone for visiting my blog and for all of the sweet comments.  I read each and every one of them and they all warmed my heart just like that steaming cup of hot cocoa on my tag.  Hee hee!  Definitely keep an eye out for another Zva Creative Blog Hop in the future.

And now to announce my winner who will receive $30 of Zva Creative goodies ...

Which means that my lucky winner is ...

Congrats Linda!  Please email me at lghahary@cevant.com with your full name and mailing information.  :)

Our First Zva Creative Blog Hop!

I am so excited to be a part of the Zva Creative DT! We are joining together today to share a Christmas or Holiday Tag that we each created showcasing the beautiful products that Zva has to offer.  I am hoping that you will take some time to join us in a little bit of fun!

The Blog Hop begins at Kim Hughes' blog.  Kim is linking to one of the designers and that designer is linking to the next and so on.  There are 12 design team members, so be prepared to be inspired along the way.  Hidden on 5 of the blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Those blogs will be randomly chosen after the hop is over, so it's important to leave a comment on as many blogs as you can.  Our team is so wonderfully diverse, so we are hoping that you will discover a talent that you have not been aware of.

This Blog Hop runs through midnight on Tuesday, December 8th and the 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, December 9th.  We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to all of the blogs once again on Wednesday . . . plus, you never know what kind of inspirational creation that you may find there.  All you need to do is leave a comment on this Zva Blog Hop post . . . you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify.  The more times you leave a comment along the blog hop path though, the more chances you will have to be one of the lucky winners.

Zva Creative supplies used:
PEW-02CB-105 (small pearl swirl)
CR-01CB-101 (single crystal jewels)
AD-01CB-101 (foam adhesive dots)

Now please hop over to see the wonderfully talented Sherry Wright.

Thank you SO MUCH for playing.  We appreciate your support so very much!

Want to win the December kit from My Scrapbook Nook?

I thought so!  LOL  Here's your chance to win one of your very own.  The December kit features papers and embellishments from the Making Memories Mistletoe line.

All you have to do is upload a creation to the gallery at My Scrapbook Nook.  Each project that you upload to the gallery will count as one entry to win this fabulous kit.  You have between now and Christmas to add your creations to the gallery and the winner will be notified via pm and announced on the forum at My Scrapbook Nook.  Please note that you will have to register to post in the gallery but it's a super easy and fast process.  :)

Here's a peek at some of the Nook design team's creations so far:

GOOD LUCK TO YOU! :)

I can finally share ...

... THIS!

It's the cover of the Winter 2009 issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today and the layout is one that I created.  Hee!

I was so completely excited when Kerry asked me way back in September to create a cover option and even more thrilled when I found out mine had been chosen.  If you have not checked out this magazine before you really need to.  It is jam packed cover to cover with beautiful layouts, amazing cards, and inspiring articles.  And the best part (as if it could get any better) is that it is FREE!  Yep, that's right!  FREE!

I believe the Winter 2009 issue will be available for download from their website as of December 11th.  Or stop by your local scrapbook store and see if they carry it there as well.

Since it's officially December ...

... thought I'd share this paper poinsettia wreath I created using the gorgeous new Christmas Sleigh Collection from GCD Studios.

When I was asked to create a wreath as one of my design team assignments I was super excited ... and then I panicked!  LOL  I really wanted to create the wreath ENTIRELY from paper but did not want to labor over cutting out all those pieces.  All I can say is thank goodness for my Cricut Expression - whew!  After much deliberating I finally decided to have the wreath consist entirely of poinsettia flowers and was able to use a shape on the Accent Essentials cartridge to piece the flower together.

There was still a lot of work involved - each flower has two layers and then punched circles in the middle with gems or buttons hot glued to it - but I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!

For complete step by step instructions on how to create this wreath on your own head on over to the GCD Studios blog for all the details!
