Two Peas In A Bucket - JULY 4th

Hey everybody!  Just wanted to share a new layout that went up in the Garden over at Two Peas In A Bucket this past Monday.  We just got back from a vacation down in Ocean City, NJ so I didn't have a chance to blog about it until now.  Better late than never right? ;)

This layout is copyright Two Peas in a Bucket

The theme in the garden this month is Summer/July 4th.  We LOVE the 4th of July in my house. It's one of our favorite holidays to celebrate. We always attend the Freedom Festival held here in town with our friends complete with a parade, carnival, and fireworks. It's the perfect way to celebrate our country's birthday (and my birthday happens to be the day before so that's always fun to celebrate too! LOL).

For this layout I used a mix of lots and lots of different manufacturers. I think there are 8 in all. That's pretty unusual for me since I tend to stick to collections and/or manufacturers when I scrap.  Because my color scheme was pretty distinct - red, white, and blue with bits of yellow and green - it was easy to mix all of these products together and still have them look cohesive.

Photo collages are one of my "go to" scrappy tools when I have a lot of photos that I want to include on a layout but don't want to give up too much "real estate" on my page.  I love to mix black & white images with color images as well as leave a few blocks blank to add patterned paper and other embellishments.

I'll be back next week to share some CHA projects I created using new products from Basic Grey.  Thanks for stopping by!  :)

This is such a fun page! Great job mixing all the different mfr's!! I am not very good at mixing that many together.
