Vintage Vogue Altered Photo Tray

And now for another project I created as the guest designer for Glue Arts this week.  Pink Paislee had some amazing releases this CHA and Vintage Vogue is hands down my favorite of the bunch.  I love the color scheme and so many of the embellishments included in this collection.  For my project I decided to alter a 7Gypsies photo tray with pictures I took of my brother, sister in law, and sweet little niece Gia at Easter. 

I had so much fun creating each altering each of the boxes in this photo tray.  Here are some close up images so you can get a better look ...

Glue Arts Guest Designer

Hi everyone! Not too long ago I was asked by the super sweet Julia Sandvoss to be a guest designer on the Glue Arts blog.  They are teaming up with Pink Paislee all this week (and last) so of course I said heck yeah!

Truth be told I had never used Glue Arts products before but after designing with them this past weekend I can say without hesitation that they are fabulous.  I love the size of the Glue Glider Pro and the U Cut It Foam Adhesive is just perfect for a gal like me that is addicted to dimensional adhesive.  I created this altered gift box using the brand spankin' new Nantucket collection from Pink Paislee and lots of Glue Arts adhesives.

Pink Paislee Sneak Peeks!

Hey everyone! I just returned home from a week long vacation with my family in Ocean City, NJ. We had a GREAT time - the weather was beautiful and spending time with my mom, sister, brother and their families is always a treat. New MISTABLES collection from Pink Paislee!

BPC Guest Blogger

Hi everyone!  I have a fun project to share with you today.  A few weeks ago I was asked to be a guest blogger over at Big Picture Classes.  If you're not familiar with BPC you should really check them out - they offer tons of inspirational classes and workshops as well as an amazing blog full of inspirational ideas and projects. 

For my project I created a Travel Log using the Daily Junque collection by Pink Paislee.  This mini album was so easy to create yet it really packs a punch as it is filled with lots of pages for journaling, adhering photos, and places to save memorabilia.

Butterfly Garden Cards

Hey everyone!  Just thought I'd share some cards I created using the Butterfly Garden collection by Pink Paislee.  I actually created these cards for the HSN debut of the Butterfly Garden kit back in March.  It was so much fun because not only was it my first time creating something specifically for television, but it was Pink Paislee's first time on HSN as well.  And I am happy to report that their kit sold out on the show within minutes of airing!  Yay!

I created 4 cards for the occasion.  Most of you who know me know that my usual style is bright colors, bold patterns, and simple designs so to say that working with this collection was a bit outside my comfort zone is an understatement.  But I loved it!  Seriously!  It was so much fun to create these feminine and whimsical cards and with gorgeous products like these I really couldn't go wrong! 

I created several other projects for HSN for Pink Paislee that I plan to share here on my blog over the next few weeks.  I also have some other fun projects in the works that I can't wait to share with you as well!  Thanks so much for stopping by! 

Pink Paislee CHA Projects!

Hey everyone!  It has been such a crazy busy month but so incredibly fun.  I just got back home last night from CHA in Los Angeles.  It was a great show - lots of fun, new products to see (and eventually buy!  LOL) - and my best part of all was getting to see so many familiar faces in person.  I did want to share with all of you my Pink Paislee projects.  I didn't get to photograph them in the booth itself since my camera decided to die on my during my flight out to LA but these are some of the photos I took before I mailed them off to Rebecca.

First up are two 9x12 art collages I created to debut the Daily Junque collection.  LOVE this collection.  Seriously.  The color combination is unique and the images are just fun to work with.  Here is my first collage and some detail images as well ...

And here is a layout I created using the Soiree collection (another House of 3 collaboration).  I will admit I was a bit nervous about this collection at first with its bright colors and dominance of pink but after working with it I really fell in love and found that there were lots of other options that didn't involve too many girly colors.  This is my cutie patootie nephew Eli on his first birthday ...

Parisian Anthology

Hey everyone!  Well everyone who is still out there reading my blog.  LOL  I've been awful lately about keeping my blog up to date.  No other excuse other than I have been really busy and in my great, big list of "to do" blogging unfortunately falls by the wayside.  I guess as they say "something's gotta give" and that something has been blogging lately.  :(

I do have a new Pink Paislee project to share today that you will hopefully enjoy.  My assignment for November was to use the new Parisian Anthology collection.  I admit I was pretty scared when I first heard this was my assignment.  The Parisian Anthology collection is very soft and vintage.  And, well, downright girly.  Something that is a little foreign for me as a mom of two boys.  But I took the challenge on and even stretched my creative legs a bit more by creating a very girly project - an altered picture frame for my new little neice Gia.

Monochromatic Monday

As I was typing the title for this post I kinda wanted to start singing "Manic Monday" by the Bangles but refrained since a) I can't sing if my life depended on it.  Well, I CAN sing, I'm just not very good at it and b) I would seriously be dating myself.  But of course I think I've already done that now haven't I?  ;)  SO ... why don't I just share with you my Monochromatic Monday project for the Pink Paislee blog instead?

Scrapping with just one color is hard.  Well hard for me since I am a color gal at heart so this assignment was a wee bit challenging for me and you'll see I kinda sorta just.a.little.bit cheated and added in another color on my layout.  I couldn't help myself.  I just had to!

Orange with splashes of green.  Perfect colors for October and all things pumpkin picking.  Speaking of pumpkins check out my little cutie patootie in those pumpkin patch photos.  Can you believe that little dude is now my oldest Darian?  My how time flies!

Just a little detail shot of my title work.  I love using the large Weathered Wood Expressions as a mask for misting.  I actually have a whole set that I keep aside just for this purpose.  So fun.  And shamefully easy to do.

Pink Paislee Blog

Hey everyone!  Sorry for the lack of posts on my blog lately.  I was so sure that when the boys went back to school I'd have more time, but lately it feels like there are even less hours in the day and so my poor lil' blog gets neglected.  sigh.

I did want to hop on quickly and let you know that I have a layout up over on the Pink Paislee blog today.  It is a "back to school" layout using the fabulous Old School collection.  Here's a little peek for ya ...

Special Bond

Hey everyone!  I just realized that I did not share one of my Pink Paislee layouts from last week so I thought I'd post it today.  I used the Old School collection for this layout.  I wanted to show the versatility of the papers and embellishments and that they are not just for school themed projects.  I just love these pictures of Darian and Brandon together.  They are only 19 months apart and have such a special relationship.  Brandon simply ADORES Darian and pretty much will do whatever he says (even if it means he'll get in trouble!  LOL) and while Darian does tend to tire of his little brother a bit more frequently he doesn't like to be apart from him for very long.

This layout will be on display in the Pink Paislee booth at CHA in Chicago that starts today!  I SO wish I could be there - I had the most amazing time at CHA this past January but I just could not swing the time away in between vacations, etc.  If you happen to be in attendance and are reading this I would love to see how my projects are displayed in the Pink Paislee booth, and would so appreciate if you would snap a couple of pics for me.  Pretty please!  ;)
